Engineering and geological surveys - a set of works aimed at studying the engineering and geological conditions of the construction area, including relief, geological structure, seismotectonic, geomorphological and hydrogeological conditions, composition, condition and properties of soils, geological and engineering-geological processes, forecast of possible changes in engineering geological conditions. Based on the results of engineering-geological surveys and taking into account the forecast of changes in engineering-geological conditions, the choice of the type of foundation is carried out, the depth of the foundation, the dimensions of the foundations and the dimensions of the supporting structures of underground and buried structures are determined.

An energy audit (energy audit) is a set of measures that includes: collection of data on current energy consumption; drawing up balance sheets of energy consumption and distribution; analysis of financial indicators; analysis of technical documentation; determination of the sources of losses; development of a number of measures aimed at improving energy efficiency; determining the effect of the introduction of energy-saving measures. The purpose of the energy audit work: assessment of the actual state of energy use, identifying the causes of occurrence and determining the values of losses of fuel and energy resources, development of a number of measures aimed at reducing the loss of fuel and energy resources, determination of the effect of the introduction of energy-saving measures.
