TERRY TOWEL CARE The terry towel is made from natural cotton on modern machines. When washing such a product, no special conditions are required. Remember the usual rules for the care of a terry towel. Before the first use, the colored terry towel should ALWAYS be washed at a temperature of 30 ° C with a small amount of detergent. During the first wash, the water may stain slightly, this is due to the excess amount of dye molecules surrounding the cotton fibers. These particles can settle on other items as well, but the original color of the towel will not change. For safety reasons, wash a new colored towel separately from other items. For further washings, set the cycle temperature to 40 ° C (for colored towels) and use a small amount of detergent for colored laundry. Too much detergent will cause it to stick to the towel, even after rinsing thoroughly. As a result, the towel becomes harsh. From time to time, when washing, you can add half a cup of white synthetic vinegar, the acid dissolves the alkaline deposits of the powder on the fibers. This will make the towel fluffy and shiny. Turn on the extra rinse mode, the terry towel absorbs very well, including detergent, so an additional rinse will help rid the towel of its excess without burdening the product. In the last rinse, you can add a small amount of fabric softener to soften the towels. Excessive use of these products reduces the water absorption properties of the towel, making the towels stiff. It is better to dry a terry towel in a tumble dryer: the cotton fibers straighten out and the towels become softer. Terry towels can also be dried outdoors. Do not dry the towel in direct sunlight or directly on a heat source (battery), the heat makes the fibers much harder. Terry towels do not need to be ironed. The iron will press down on the loops of the towel, which reduces the absorbency of the garment, just fold the towel gently. Colored terry towels cannot be bleached.
