In 1987, a law was passed on entrepreneurship in the production of consumer goods. The subsequent period in the history of our country was marked by the appearance of the first private enterprises in Russia — cooperatives. The history of the Jacot company began with one of these cooperatives. At the very end of the 90s, the company outsourced knitted clothes and accessories for such companies as Adidas, Reebok, Sprandi. Over time, management decides to move away from this kind of business and focuses on the children's clothing market. In the mid-2000s, Russia experienced an increase in the birth rate, which even now continues to be stimulated by government programs. As a result, the choice made by the company required a change in all its partnerships, distribution systems, and product promotion methods. In addition to external changes, internal changes took place: a design department appeared, technical re-equipment took place, and a new generation of Shima Seiki flat knitting machines was purchased. With the advent of new equipment, it became possible not only to improve the quality of products, but also to expand its range: the company began to produce a full list of knitwear, accessories, hats, interior items, toys. Among other things, designers and technical specialists, having completed training in Japan and Italy, were able to quickly get acquainted with new technologies for the production of yarn and knitwear, as well as have a broader understanding of the current trends of the upcoming fashion seasons.
In the spring of 2015, the company opened its own Jacote Kids & Gifts children's clothing boutiques for children from 0 to 6 years old in central stores in Moscow, including the famous Detsky Mir store, which has its history since 1957. Also opened its own online store. This is precisely the main positive quality of the company - in its activity and striving for self-improvement, which is also evidenced by its annual participation in international exhibitions in Moscow, such as CPM-Moscow and CJF-Moscow, as well as in Pitty Bimbo exhibitions in Italy.
