Volzhsky Pekar OJSC is a high-tech and dynamically developing enterprise for the production of bakery and confectionery products. It was founded in 1940.
Currently, Volzhsky Pekar has twenty production lines, and computerized software ensures perfect adherence to the technology. Today, Volzhsky Baker produces 100 tons of bakery products, 60 tons of lamb products and 40 tons of confectionery products, including 10 tons of wafers daily. In its assortment there are about 300 items, and the annual output is more than 70 thousand tons. This is 52% of the total production of bakery and confectionery products in the Tver region.
In 1983, the enterprise was headed by Honored Worker of the Food Industry of the Russian Federation, holder of the Order of Honor, deputy of the Tver City Duma Liliya Kornienko. “To the collective - high social guarantees, to the city - real participation in socially significant projects, to the state - honest taxes!” - since then the motto of “Volga baker” has been heard.
Lilia Kornienko is one of the most respected people in the Upper Volga region and bears the title of Honorary Citizen of Tver. For the implementation of charitable activities aimed at social support and protection of citizens, a significant personal contribution to the development of the volunteer movement, the General Director of OJSC Volzhsky Pekar was awarded the Tver Region Governor Badge for Charity.
Volzhsky Baker has more than a thousand partners - these are large wholesale companies, federal and regional companies, and individual entrepreneurs. For replenishment of the Russian treasury with a full-weighted “live” ruble, the enterprise was noted with a letter of thanks from V.V. Putin. The Tver Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Tver Trade Unions of Volzhsky Pekar OJSC are included in the register of organizations guaranteed to observe the labor rights of workers. Our bakery is a socially oriented enterprise, which has been repeatedly noted and encouraged by the tax authorities. And in 2013, Volzhsky Pekar OJSC was awarded the All-Russian award in the field of fiscal policy and fiscal relations “National Tax Prize” with the honorary title of “Conscientious taxpayer”.
The national prize named after the merchant Gavriil Solodovnikov, which became the annual highest public award in Russia - a kind of Oscar in trade. She is awarded to the best managers for significant achievements and personal contribution to the development of domestic trade. OJSC Volzhsky Pekar was awarded such a national award in 2001.
In 2011, Volzhsky Pekar Open Joint Stock Company was certified according to the international standard ISO 9001: 2008 and GOST R ISO 22000-2007, in June 2015 the company passed international certification according to the international standard ISO 22000: 2005.
Today, products under the Volzhsky Baker brand are successfully sold in 6 foreign countries (Israel, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia). Through distributors in 62 regions of Russia - from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, from Murmansk to Sevastopol. The partners of the company are leading federal retail chains such as Globus, Metro, Perekrestok, Lenta, Seventh Continent, Dixy, Atak, Magnit, as well as regional Trolley networks, “4 seasons”, “Tver merchant”, “Difference”, “Slavyanka” and many others.
